On May 7th, Kevin Burke, Chairman of the Board at K.I.D.S. and CEO of American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) had just one more important task to fulfill at the end of the day - to ring the closing bell at NASDAQ.

Together with several K.I.D.S. staff and Board members, including K.I.D.S. founder Karen Bromley, they headed to Times Square to signal the close of the market which opened up a new audience to the K.I.D.S. organization.

"It was such a terrific platform and a great opportunity for us to continue our goal of making people aware of K.I.D.S.," says Burke. Adds Interim President and Board member David Coleman, "What K.I.D.S. manages to accomplish every day - moving $80 million dollars of new merchandise across the country with an overhead cost of under 3% - is really an accomplishment people should know about."
