No nonsense, the leading legwear manufacturer in the country, pledged to support K.I.D.S. in 2011 with a major donation supported by a marketing program designed to raise awareness of the work of our partner agencies around the country.
‘Socks for America’ is a multi-year program that includes a pledge to donate one million pairs of socks, while encouraging consumers to donate more through No nonsense’s online and retail programs.
“We are dedicated to making our socks in America not only to maintain a high level of quality, but to keep workers in our country employed,” said Andrea Angelo, Director of Marketing for Kayser-Roth, the organization that owns No nonsense. “As a socially responsible company it only makes sense to help those in our own country and provide what we can — in this case socks.” New socks, as well as underwear, are one of the most requested items by agencies and one of the least donated products. The importance of these small but essential items to people’s health as well as developmental well-being is well documented.
This program expands No nonsense’s 2010 effort that donated 250,000 pairs of socks to local communities. “The ability to help others through the work of K.I.D.S. was a great success last year. Our employees were keen to not only continue with this program but build upon it in 2011,” added Andrea.
