Child’s play is important as it offers a chance to explore, to dream and to enjoy; sadly, this is not often the case for children from low income families.
Toys and other entertainment products can be valuable learning tools for children and bring a great deal of joy to them. In 2010, K.I.D.S. received a total of $ 45 million worth of new toys and entertainment products from industry leaders such as Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, Toy Industry Association, The Today Show Charitable and others.
We also work with the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) in a year round partnership collecting new toys from vendors exhibiting twice a year at the American International Toy Fair in New York. In 2010, we collected $1.5 million worth of new toys working with the TIF. More than 230 exhibitors consistently contribute products to The Toy Bank, the Toy Industry Foundation's signature program. Donated toys and educational products are distributed through K.I.D.S. to community agencies nationwide, such as The NY Foundling, which runs education and support programs for children in the New York area.

For more than eight decades, the name Walt Disney has been preeminent in the field of family entertainment. From humble beginnings as a cartoon studio in the 1920s to today’s global corporation, The Walt Disney Company continues to proudly provide quality entertainment for every member of the family, across America and around the world.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment was the #1 product donor of K.I.D.S. in 2010, donating $39 million worth of DVD’s to children in need in the U.S and Canada. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment also partnered with K.I.D.S. through their movie rewards program so that each time a customer redeems particular rewards, the company donates a plush toy to K.I.D.S.
