Volunteer

Internships

Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) is looking for part-time Interns who can assist in our New York office with the day-to-day operations of our bustling and energetic non-profit organization that provides new clothing, toys, books and more to kids in need. We have immediate internship opportunities in the following areas: Development (Fundraising), Marketing and Social Media, and Special Events.

We invite you to join our team. This is a great place to get your feet wet in the non-profit world and to learn more about a surprisingly small organization doing the work of a large-sized operation. We are looking for bright, creative and hard-working individuals who want to help us attain our goal of reaching 50% of the children living in poverty in the U.S. in the next five years.

Unfortunately, these are not paid positions, but we are happy to work with your school to arrange for course credit, and we willingly write great recommendations for our wonderful interns.

Volunteer in our Office

Volunteers are needed who can assist in the New York office, between 9am-5pm with the following responsibilities:

  • When we receive product donations, helping sort, remove tags, and organize the product for distribution
  • Assisting with event implementation activities
  • General administrative work

Volunteer at Toy Shows

Volunteers are needed during toy shows to help represent K.I.D.S. Tasks include the following:

  • Manage the K.I.D.S. booth
  • Pass out flyers
  • Collect donated product
