Employee Involvement Programs

Kids in Distressed Situations solicits specific items requested by our agency partners from year-round donors (manufacturers, retailers, and licensees) with whom we have long standing relationships. 100% of all product donated goes directly to needy children through a broad range of programs and agencies, but we could still use your help. Corporate and Individual involvement is vital to accomplish our mission.

There are many ways that you can help K.I.D.S. and children in need everywhere. Donations, gift drives, fundraisers, and volunteering are great ways to support a very worthy cause,bringing smiles to the faces of needy children throughout the year.

Ways to Give

Monetary Donations: Companies can make contributions or hold fundraisers to support our mission. For every dollar we receive from individuals and companies, we deliver a minimum of $10 worth of donated products to children and families in need.

Matching Gift Programs: Many companies offer a matching contribution program as a benefit to their employees who donate to a charitable organization. Contact your Human Resources Department for the appropriate process and forms to ensure the match is donated. After the Matching Gift Form is complete, please send it to:

Product Drive: Product donations are critical for K.I.D.S. to provide much needed support to the children who are affected by severe economic hardship and natural disaster. Companies can hold toy, apparel, basic essentials, shoes, and book drives. At the conclusion of the drive K.I.D.S. will pick up the donations and distribute the items to children in need through our local community agencies. All items must be brand new.

Volunteer Opportunities: We serve nearly 1,000 non-profit agencies across the country in need of volunteers. We will match your associates with available local opportunities for product distributions and programmatic participation (e.g. reading from donated books) at agency events.
